For Better Erosion Control

Gorilla Hair Redwood bark (sometimes referred to as mulch) is a fibrous, stringy, dark red product that is 100% derived from the redwood tree. It can be used as a decorative ground cover, natural weed barrier, water conserving agent, erosion controller, and it can cool or warm plant roots for improved growth. Gorilla Hair is a beautiful addition to gardens, flower beds, and planters.

HOW TO USE:

Place Gorilla Hair around the base of trees or garden plantings.

Spread Gorilla Hair 2 to 3 inches deep around trees or plants using a rake. For trees, start from about 2 inches from the trunk spreading out 3 to 6 feet, or spread out approximately as wide as the tree's spread (how far the tree's branches extend). If using in a flower bed, cover the entire bed evenly. Leave approximately 1 inch of space between Gorilla Hair and plant stems.

Monitor Gorilla Hair levels. As it decomposes, you will need to add more. Add as necessary, but do not layer more than 3 inches total around trees or plants. Usually, you will need to add about 1 inch per year to compensate for natural decomposition. This will also give your landscape a fresh look.
